This is a great, vintage 1962, atmospheric photograph of the Ferrari Dino 246SP of Pedro & Ricardo Rodriguez chasing down the start - finish straight during the 1962 running of the 24 Heures du Mans, carrying race number 28.
The gentlemen would not finish the race as the gearbox gave up the ghost after 174 laps...
The car in question is the 246 SP S/N 0796 which was later modified to serve as a mule for the Tipo 250 P and was scrapped in 1963.
The photo is in excellent condition.
It measures some 24 x 18 cm or 9.5 x 7 inches and carries the stamp of the photographer on the back.
