Vintage 1963 photo sequence of Ferrari 250P S/N 0812 on fire, 24 Heures du Mans

This is a vintage 1963 photo sequence of the Ferrari 250P of John Surtees and Willy Mairesse right after it caught fire at the 1963 running of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

The car in question is S/N 0812 and was repaired after this incident and survives to this day.

The set of vintage photos consists of the following:

1) Shows 0812 during the race.

2) 0812 right after it caught fire, photographers and marshals running towards the scene of the accident.

3) The first marshals have arrived, as have the photographers. No real action is being taken yet.

4) First attempts at extinguishing the fire are being made while the course direction Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 has arrived at the scene.
