Olivier Gendebien signed Postcard.
This signed postcard was acquired from the brother of the lady to whom it was addressed in the early 1960's.
The lady had a crush on Olivier Gendien and sent him a self-addressed postcard with the request for an autograph which Olivier fullfilled but returned the card in an envelope hence it has no postage stamp.
The front of the card shows a Ford Taunus 17M. The rear shows the address of the lady + Olivier's signature.
The card has been slightly clipped on the left side, visible in the scan.
Olivier managed to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans not less than 4 times (1958, 1960, 1961 & 1962) and numerous other sports car races such as the Nurburgring 1000KM, the 12 Hours of Sebring, The Targa Florio, The Reims 12 Hours and The Tour de France Auto.
He died in his home in Les Beaux de Provence in Southern France in 1998.
