If we would have to describe this set in three words, they would be: Mint, Mint, Mint...
The cover follows the design of the 1961 poster, by Michel Beligond, of the # 12 Ferrari 250 TRI/60 powering its way out of the Esses and heading towards Tertre Rouge during the previous edition in 1960.
The booklet measures some 21 x 27 cm and counts 96 pages which are filled to the brim with information on the cars, the race and of course great period advertising.
The booklets also served as a ticket in the grand prize draw in which you could win a Panhard or Vespa 400 car, a Vespa Scooter or a gold-plated Silver Match sigarette lighter and, consequently, they were individually numbered with this particular one being 008851 but it might be a little late to claim your prize now...
The race was won by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien in their Nr 10 Ferrari 250 TRI/61 (S/N 0794TR) with a total of 333 laps to their name.
