This is a vintage photograph of the Nr 16 Lagonda of Baron Andre d'Erlanger and Douglas Hawkes rounding Arnage corner, en route to an 11th place overall at the 1928 24 Heures du Mans (or the 6th Grand Prix d'Endurance as it was officially called back then).
The duo would finish the race with 2178 km to their name.
Please note that this is VINTAGE photo, printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.
Dimensions: approximately 4.75 x 3.5 inches or 12 x 9 cm.
Decent condition for its age but, as visible in the scan, there is some paper loss in the bottom right corner.
The race was won by Woolf Barnato and Bernard Rubin in their Bentley 4½ Litre with a total of 2669 km to their name.
