Original 1972 Le Mans 24 Hours Program signed by Jochen Mass and Derek Bell.
This is a vintage 1972 24 Heures du Mans program booklet filled to the brim with information on the race.
The cover follows the design of the 1972 poster which shows the return of an abstract drawing, by J. Jacquelin, uses the new section of the track between Arnage and the grandstands.
This was the result of the organiser' determination to cut out the Maison Blanche corners that had become too dangerous due to the increase in performance and speed of the cars.
In 1969, British driver John Wolfe had lost his life on that section of the track in his nr. 10 Porsche 917.
This program booklet has been signed on the cover by Le Mans legends Derek Bell and Jochen Mass!
It is in excellent condition and measures some 19 x 27 cm and counts 104 pages filled to the brim with information on the race, the track, the cars, the drivers and of course countless contemporary advertisments.
The race was won by Henri Pescarolo and Graham Hill in their Nr 15 Matra Simca MS670 with a total of 344 laps to their name.
