Vintage 1971 Le Mans Pre-Race Flyer Handbill.

These flyers were handed out at the race to spectators to show them around the track.

Scarce as most of them did not survive the race.

The cover follows the design of the 1971 race poster and features a color photo, by Andre Delourmel from the city of Le Mans, which sums up the conditions under which the 1970 edition took place. The section chosen is somewhat unusual as it is the section of the circuit between Arnage and Maison Blanche which was used for the last time in 1970 and shows the number 5 Ferrari 512 S of Jacky Ickx and Peter Schetty.

Near mint condition for its age.

It measures 5.4 x 8.4 inches and unfolds to 21.6 x 8.4 inches.

The race was won by Dr. Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep in their Porsche 917 K with a total of 397 laps to their name or 5.335 KM, a distance record that stood until 2010!
