This poster advertised the "10eme Criterium International de Vitesse Motocycliste 250 - 350 - 500 cc" which was of course a motorcycle race AND the tests / qualifying sessions for the upcoming 24 Heures du Mans.
The artwork shows an artist impression (by Beligond) of a motorcycle being chased by a Ferrari sportscar.
The race itself was won by Richard Attwood & Hans Herrmann in their # 23 Porsche 917K (S/N 023) with a total of 343 laps to their name.
