Vintage 1952 24 Hours of Le Mans Program Booklet.
Decent condition for its age with some visible wear & tear to the cover (see pictures).
The design of the 1952 program cover came from world-renowned motorsport artist Geo Ham who opted for the symbolic approach. The place is the the Esses with the major contenders (Jaguar, Aston Martin and Cunningham) storming towards the Tertre Rouge turn in controlled slides...
The race was won by Herrmann Lang and Fritz Riess in their Mercedes-Benz 300 SL with a total of 277 laps to their name.

Vintage 1952 Le Mans Flyer / Handbill.
A great document that is VERY, VERY rare (the very first one that we have ever had or even seen).
The front shows a great shot of the start of the 1951 running with the number 20 Jaguar C-Type of Peter Walker and Peter Whitehead already leading the pack (they would win the 1951 edition), followed by the number 3 Cunningham C2-R of Briggs Cunningham and George Huntoon (DNF in 1951) and the rest of the pack.
The insides gives introduction on ticket prices and a plan of the grandstands while the back shows a great pits scene.
Dimensions: approximately 8.5 x 11 inches (when unfolded).
Good condition for its age but some minor, age-related, yellowing due to the nature of the paper.

The car in question is S/N 0204 A, a Vignale Spyder that now seems to reside in the USA.
The photo measures some 23 x 17.5 cm of 9 x 7 inches and is in good condition.
The back carries the stamp of the photographer.

Vintage Original 1952 Mercedes Benz Victory Poster 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This is a vintage original 1952 Mercedes poster announcing their hard-fought double victory in the 1952 running of Les 24 Heures du Mans.
French driver Pierre Levegh, who was driving his privately entered Talbot Lago T26 GS Spider, was leading by a comfortable 4 laps when his engine gave up the ghost and the lead was passed to Herrmann Lang and Fritz Riess in their Mercedes-Benz 300 SL with Theo Helfrich and Helmut Niedermayr, also on a 300 SL, in second place.
Levegh, although officially partnered with Rene Marchand, had no relief driver and had been at the wheel for 22 hours and 45 minutes (!) when the Talbot's engine blew up.
Levegh tried it two more times at Le Mans with his aging Talbot before moving over to Mercedes-Benz in 1955 which lead to, what is considered, the biggest catastrophe in motor racing history...
Completely unaware of what the future held in store, Mercedes proudly issued this poster in the second half of 1952 to announce their victory.
