Vintage 1963 Le Mans Race Flyer.
These flyers were handed out at the race to spectators to show them around the track.
Scarce as most of them did not survive the race.
The cover of the flyer follows the design of the 1963 race poster with a fantastic illustration, by G. Laygnac, of the winning make of the previous year, Ferrari. Although the 1962 winner is depicted, the image is of a much more symbolic nature than previous years. The idea of time is overwhelmingly present, as is that of speed which is symbolized by the whirlpool.
Near mint condition for its age.
It measures 5.4 x 8.4 inches and unfolds to 21.6 x 8.4 inches.
