Early original posters from the 24-hour races command astronomic prices if and when they ever surface, and reproductions are abound. Even posters from the 60's are priced beyond the average collector's pocket and the 70's posters are following the same trend. The posters have become so collectible that the official body L'Automobile Club de L'Ouest allow them to be sold at the circuit in order to prevent the theft of those actually used to advertise the event!

All of the Le Mans posters are collectible and some of the images are truly outstanding. Beginning collectors should be careful when purchasing later posters to buy only mint copies, as they are reasonably easy to find. However, condition on the earlier posters becomes much more subjective and rarity begins to take priority.

The 2010 Le Mans poster is part of the era in Le Mans posters which is generally described as "The Le Mans Poster in the era of computer graphics and sponsorship" and which lasts from 2001 until the current day.

The 2010 24 Heures du Mans poster was produced by Agence La Fourmi after photographs by A. Cornilleau, G. Rousseau and J.P. Boyer.

The poster shows a new approach for a new slogan - "Chaque seconde une nouvelle emotion" which translates into "Every second a new emotion".

The poster is not only focussed on the race but also on "life" around the track.

The event was won by Mike Rockenfeller, Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas in their # 9 Audi R15 TDI Plus with a total of 397 laps to their name which constitutes a new distance record.

The race was won by Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer in their Nr 2 Audi R18 TDI with a total of 355 laps to their name.
